Legal Fallout Continues Over George Floyd's Murder by Police in Minneapolis

Donald Williams, a bystander who witnessed the murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers, has filed a lawsuit against the city, alleging assault and emotional distress. Williams claims that he was threatened by the officers and that they taunted him and other bystanders who expressed concern for Floyd's safety. The lawsuit seeks more than $50,000 for each count and alleges one count of assault, one count of intentional infliction of emotional distress, and one count of negligent infliction of emotional distress.
