Minnesota Nears Legalization Deal for Marijuana

Minnesota is expected to legalize marijuana for personal use this summer, but it may take a year or longer for regulatory and sales systems to be established. Growing and possessing weed at home will be allowed beginning July 1. Marijuana use will be restricted to private residences and not allowed in motor vehicles, schools, state correctional facilities, or places where smoking is prohibited. Local governments may also prevent cannabis businesses from operating near schools, daycares, and public parks.
