The Social Security Administration has released the top 20 most popular baby names of last year, with "Olivia," "Emma," and "Charlotte" remaining the top three female names, and "Liam," "Noah," and "Oliver" maintaining their positions in the top male names. The only new entry in the top 10 female names was "Luna," which bumped "Harper" from the list. The lack of change in popular baby names is consistent with historical data, with one name typically holding the top spot for around a decade. Baby name expert Laura Wattenberg notes that popularity is a dominant factor in baby naming, but having a popular name doesn't ruin a child's life.
