Multiple Injuries Reported as Parking Garage Collapses in Lower Manhattan

A parking garage collapse in Lower Manhattan has prompted a major emergency response, with at least three people injured and others possibly trapped. The second floor of the four-story structure at 57 Ann Street collapsed onto the first, and the exterior of the structure is still standing but in danger of collapse. Emergency responders are conducting their operation from the outside of the building due to fears of a further collapse and the possible unsteadiness of the structure. Nearby Pace University has evacuated two buildings and canceled all classes.
