Philadelphia water safety concerns prompt bottled water rush.

The city of Philadelphia extended the deadline for residents to safely use tap water until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28th, following a chemical spill in the Delaware River. The latest testing came back negative, and residents should use water like they normally do. The spill occurred when a leak of between 8,100 and 12,000 gallons of a latex emulsion product made its way into Otter Creek and then into the Delaware River. Residents can track the impact of the spill on a map provided by the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management.
