EF-1 Tornado Blasts Across I-10 in San Antonio, Damaging Apartments and Shops

An EF-1 tornado with winds up to about 100 mph touched down on San Antonio’s far north side, crossing I-10 between The Dominion and Shavano Park and dissipating soon after. The storm damaged an apartment complex near UTSA Boulevard, tore at storefronts in the La Cantera area, toppled trees, and produced other damage as part of a broader Central Texas severe weather event; the National Weather Service issued warnings as crews assessed the damage.
