International Support for Ukraine's Military Strengthens

The US will begin training Ukrainian troops on 31 M1 Abrams tanks in Germany within weeks, with a further 31 refurbished tanks expected to reach Ukrainian battlefields by the end of the year. The move is part of a growing list of nations providing similar systems to Ukraine, including the Netherlands and Denmark, who announced they would jointly donate 14 restored Leopard 2 tanks in early 2024. The US has provided more than $55bn in military aid to Ukraine, with the top priority being to build a multi-level air defence/anti-missile defence system.
