Mississippi hit by destructive tornado amidst severe weather warnings.

A tornado hit parts of Mississippi causing major damage to at least one community and trapping people in buildings. No fatalities have been reported yet. The National Weather Service issued a "tornado emergency" for the area. The state is sending search-and-rescue resources and other help to the area. The tornado occurred as very buoyant air and strong low-level and upper-level shear was forecast to increase the risk of severe storms in the area. Earlier on Friday, two EF1 tornadoes with 100 mph winds struck in Parker County, Texas, injuring five people.
