Devastating Tornadoes Leave Trail of Death and Destruction Across US Midwest and South

At least 21 people have died and dozens more have been injured after tornadoes and storms hit the Midwest and South of the United States. The storms caused widespread damage to homes and businesses, splintering trees and causing power outages for tens of thousands of people. The states of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Illinois were among the hardest hit, with several deaths reported in each. Recovery efforts are underway, with utility trucks working to restore power and workers clearing debris. The storm system also brought wildfires to the southern plains states and blizzard conditions to the upper Midwest.
