Dramatic Footage: Tornado Strikes Louisiana Bar as Patrons Flee

An EF-2 tornado in Lake Charles, Louisiana, destroyed part of the Library Riot bar just moments after the owner pulled two patrons to safety. The bar owner, Jamie Meiburg, had previously lost his first bar to Hurricane Laura in 2020. Despite the recent damage to his home and bar, Meiburg is hopeful to reopen the bar within a week and complete a full remodel in 45 to 60 days, in time for the bar's two-year anniversary on April 27.
