Florida Bar opens probe into Halligan over Comey and James investigations
Former interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan is under investigation by the Florida Bar following complaints from Campaign for Accountability about her conduct in probes of James Comey and Letitia James. The probe comes after a Virginia judge found Halligan’s appointment unconstitutional, which led to the dismissal of those cases; Halligan has reportedly left the DOJ after a court barred her from using the title. The Florida Bar says it is monitoring the matter and has a pending investigation, with no comment on active cases.
