Mississippi River Floods Iowa and Illinois, Testing Defenses.

Water levels are rising along the Mississippi River in southeast Iowa and northwest Illinois, with many crests expected to rank in the top 10 of all time. Floodwaters have begun to slowly recede, revealing damage in areas further north. Officials are optimistic they'll be able to contain the floodwaters with floodwalls and sandbags, but some homes close to the river have been damaged. The flooding is expected to ease as the spring surge of water from melting snow works its way further down the river.
