Multiple Tornadoes Hit New Jersey, Causing Damage and Power Outages

Tornadoes touched down in Jackson and Howell, New Jersey, leaving a path of destruction that ripped the roofs off houses, crushed cars and sheds, and left trees and telephone poles blocking major roads. Over 13,000 were still without power in Monmouth and Ocean counties as of Sunday afternoon, according to Jersey Central Power & Light. No known injuries or deaths have been reported. The National Weather Service is exploring areas around Asbury Park and Sea Girt to see if another tornado touched down by the coast.
