Last living sibling of Martin Luther King Jr., Christine King Farris, passes away at 95

Christine King Farris, the last living sibling of Martin Luther King Jr., has passed away at the age of 95. Farris, who worked alongside her sister-in-law Coretta Scott King to preserve and promote her brother's legacy, played a vital role in teaching Martin Luther King Jr.'s philosophy of nonviolent resistance. Despite working behind the scenes, Farris was no less important in the Civil Rights Movement. She was a founding board member of The King Center and a respected author. Farris leaves behind a legacy of fighting for equality and against racism in America.
