
Last living sibling of Martin Luther King Jr., Christine King Farris, passes away at 95
Christine King Farris, the eldest sister of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., has passed away at the age of 95. Farris was a civil rights leader, acclaimed author, and champion of literacy and education. She was a founding board member of the King Center and a longtime volunteer, dedicating her life to fighting for equality and against racism. Farris leaves behind a tremendous legacy and will be remembered for her acts of service, love, and education that inspired the world for nearly a century.
