"NYC Exterminator's Deadly Weapon: Eliminating Rats and Their Remains"
TL;DR
An exterminator in New York City, known as "Matt the Rat Killer," is using carbon monoxide to eliminate rats and collapsing their burrows afterwards. He believes that leaving the dead rats in the burrows deters other rats from returning due to the smell of decaying matter. This method has proven effective in reducing rat infestations in certain areas of the city, which has struggled with a significant rat problem.
