The Biden administration will appeal two orders blocking its migrant parole policy, according to the Justice Department. The emergency stay request was in response to an order issued by U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell, which blocked Biden's plan to give some asylum seekers paperwork that did not include an immigration court date. The administration is also appealing Wetherell's March ruling that blocked a policy allowing the release of migrants with minimal supervision. The Biden administration had been preparing for a substantial influx of arrivals ahead of the Covid-era Title 42 rules expiring last Thursday at midnight.
