Blinken faces contempt charges from Congress over Afghanistan documents.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the State Department have ignored multiple subpoenas from the House Oversight Committee for documents relating to President Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan. House Oversight Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul is threatening to hold Blinken in contempt of Congress if he continues to refuse to provide the documents. The State Department offered a briefing on the documents' contents, but McCaul and other Republicans on the committee said they still had unanswered questions that could only be satisfied by seeing the documents.
