Comparing Biden's Border Policies to Trump's and the Impact on Black Americans.

President Biden has deployed 1,500 active-duty troops to the Mexican border to deal with the expected end of Title 42, which has allowed the U.S. to deny asylum and migration claims for public health reasons. The troops will be armed only for self-defense and will carry out administrative tasks such as data entry, warehousing, and additional detection and monitoring support to free up Border Patrol agents to deal with the migrants. This deployment is different from Trump's, as his administration allowed active-duty troops to temporarily detain and search migrants and laid hundreds of miles of concertina wire and erected temporary barriers while funneling billions meant for military infrastructure projects to finance the border wall.
