FBI Unlocks Suspected Shooter's Phone

The FBI has accessed the phone of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the suspected gunman in the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The investigation, which is being treated as potential domestic terrorism, has included searches of Crooks' home and car, and interviews with nearly 100 individuals. Secret Service protection for Trump, President Biden, and Vice President Harris has been increased. The House Oversight Committee will question the Secret Service Director about the security lapses on July 22.
