Harvard Alumni Outraged by Pro-Palestinian Letter from Students

A pro-Palestinian statement from Harvard University students blaming Israel for the violence in the region has sparked outrage among prominent alumni. The statement, signed by a coalition of 34 student organizations, held the Israeli regime responsible for the unfolding violence and referred to it as an apartheid regime. While Harvard's president and senior leadership expressed sadness over the recent attacks by Hamas, they did not directly address the student letter or the reaction to it. Alumni, including former Harvard President Emeritus Lawrence Summers, criticized the university's leadership for remaining silent and appearing neutral towards acts of terror against Israel. Republican politicians, who are Harvard graduates, also condemned the statement.
