Mamdani's 100-Day Pulse: Modest Support Amid Broad NYC Unease

A Emerson College/PIX11 poll finds NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani at 43% approval (27% disapproval) at 100 days, with 59% saying the city is on the wrong track; approval is higher among November voters (+26 net) than non-voters (+9). Voters favor his handling of childcare (54%) and housing affordability (49%), are split on the budget (40% approve, 37% disapprove), and rate the economy as mostly poor/fair. A strong 65% back a millionaire’s tax, while most think the wealthy should bear higher taxes; fewer expect a corporate tax increase to trigger mass exits (44% don’t think it would, 30% think it would). Poll conducted April 5–6, 2026 with 850 registered voters, MOE ±3.4%.
