Missouri Republicans failed to approve sports betting and reduce personal property tax on vehicles due to infighting in the Senate, while the House passed a bill to provide more access to banks for marijuana businesses. Senate Majority Leader Cindy O’Laughlin accused Sen. Bill Eigel of tying up the Senate when he doesn’t get his way, while Eigel criticized his colleagues for choosing to debate sports betting over his plan to reduce personal property taxes.
