Nebraska Senator Fights for Trans Youth Rights with Filibuster.

Nebraska Senator Megan Hunt, who has a transgender child, has joined fellow Democrats in a filibuster to block the legislature until June after it passed a bill banning gender-affirming care for kids. The bill would prohibit hormone treatments, puberty blockers, and gender reassignment surgery for those under 18. Other lawmakers have also vowed to join the filibuster. Republican Governor Jim Pillen has said he will sign the bill into law if it reaches his desk.
