Ohio man pleads not guilty after Canfield Fair confrontation with Amy Acton

A 38-year-old man, Patrick Havas, pleaded not guilty in Mahoning County court to two counts of assault, plus one count each of disorderly conduct and inducing panic, after allegedly pushing through a Canfield Fair crowd to confront Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton and knocking two elderly attendees to the ground. Police found two handguns, brass knuckles and a Taser on him, though he did not brandish a weapon. A judge set a $5,000 cash bond and ordered him to surrender any weapons and have no contact with Acton or the victims. Prosecutors said felony charges were not warranted since Acton was not touched and no weapon was brandished; witnesses said Acton helped care for the injured as security intervened.
