Ohio suspect pleads not guilty in Canfield Fair incident targeting Amy Acton
Patrick Havas, 38, pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from a September 7 incident at the Canfield Fair in Ohio, where he allegedly pushed through a crowd toward Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton. Prosecutors declined to file felony charges, citing a lack of physical contact with Acton and no weapon brandishing, despite recovering two handguns, brass knuckles, and a Taser from Havas. The incident has intensified scrutiny on the toxic climate of Acton’s close race against Republican Vivek Ramaswamy.
