Trump and Biden Meet at White House Amid Transition Talks
TL;DR
President Biden hosted President-elect Trump at the White House for a traditional transition meeting following Trump's victory in the 2024 election. This marks the first such meeting in eight years, as Trump did not host Biden in 2020. Both leaders expressed a commitment to a smooth transition, with First Lady Jill Biden also participating in the welcome. The meeting follows a contentious election period where Democrats criticized Trump as a threat to democracy.
