Trump fires off fresh dig at ex-official over late wife and Iran war stance
TL;DR
Trump attacked former National Counterterrorism Center director Joe Kent in remarks to reporters, insinuating Kent’s Iran-war resignation and his public posts were hypocritical, while noting Kent’s wife Shannon Kent’s death in a 2019 ISIS bombing and his 2023 remarriage to Heather Kaiser Kent. He recalled offering Kent a White House security job, accused him of disloyalty, and referenced Kent’s past ties to antisemitism and extremist figures.
