Wagner leader offered Russian troop locations to Ukraine in exchange for mercy, leaked documents reveal

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of Wagner, has denied a report that he offered to share Russian intelligence with Kyiv in exchange for ceded territory around the besieged city of Bakhmut. The Washington Post article was based on a trove of highly classified US intelligence documents leaked on social media in April, which revealed the degree to which the US has penetrated Wagner and the Russian Ministry of Defense. Prigozhin speculated the story could have been planted by his enemies, and Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “It looks like another hoax.”
