SF Police Investigate Multiple Shootings in the City

A driverless car from Cruise stopped near the scene of a mass shooting in San Francisco's Mission District, potentially obstructing emergency vehicles. Although the car did not technically block any emergency vehicles, San Francisco Fire Department Lt. Jonathan Baxter expressed serious concerns about the car's presence, stating that any obstacles in roadways are especially dangerous during and after shootings. Baxter also pointed out that this situation would have been avoided with a human driver. This incident is yet another blemish for the campaign to make driverless vehicles a normal sight in San Francisco.
