Amtrak Train Derailment Raises Safety Concerns at DC's Union Station

An Amtrak train derailed inside a tunnel near Union Station in Washington DC, with two cars affected but remaining upright on the tracks. There were no major injuries reported, although one Amtrak worker was transported for a minor medical condition. Passengers were moved to unaffected rail cars and transported to L’Enfant Plaza Station. Southbound train service in and out of Union Station is disrupted, causing delays for commuters.
