The eruption is visible from many vantage points, but expect major delays and long lines of traffic to even enter the park. Visitors are recommended to go either before 9 a.m. or after 9 p.m. to avoid peak crowds, and to bring a headlamp, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, and dress warmly if visiting at night.
