Grieving boyfriend describes desperate bid to save girlfriend from 13-foot Florida alligator attack

Chance Allison, Brittany Clark’s bulldozer-operator boyfriend, described his disbelief after Clark was killed when a 13-foot alligator dragged her under while they swam in the Econlockhatchee River in Seminole County, Florida. He fought to wrench her free as a roommate watched, and 911 audio described horrific injuries; authorities said Clark died from multiple upper-extremity injuries. Wildlife officials captured a 13-foot alligator and a 12.5-foot gator nearby and killed them, while the FWC noted Clark did not provoke the attack. Allison is arranging a “celebration of life” in her honor.
