Orlando woman remembered after fatal Central Florida alligator attack
Brittany Clark, 31, of Orlando, died after an alligator bit her while she swam with friends in the Econlockhatchee River inside Little Big Econ State Forest. Two large alligators were captured nearby and DNA samples were sent to a lab to determine if either was the attacker; results are pending. Family describes Clark as adventurous and full of life. The FWC notes alligator attacks are rare but possible, and reminds residents to swim in designated areas, keep distance from gators, and leash pets.
