North Carolina teen indicted for San Diego mosque shooting for livestreaming and aiding attackers

A 17-year-old Forsyth County girl, Sarah Lindsey Santiago, has been indicted on three counts of murder and a conspiracy charge for recording a livestream of the May 18 attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, distributing the footage, and releasing a document written by the attackers; prosecutors say she also bought a white-supremacist patch and sent it to a gunman to wear. The attackers killed a mosque guard and two others before dying, and investigators say they planned further attacks on other targets; under North Carolina law, aiding and abetting carries the same penalties as if the acts were committed.
