North Carolina teen indicted for aiding San Diego mosque shooters via livestream and manifesto
A 17-year-old North Carolina girl, Sarah L. Santiago, has been charged with three counts of murder and one count of conspiracy for her role in the May 18, 2026, attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. Prosecutors allege she recorded a livestream of the shooting, distributed the footage, and published a white supremacist manifesto written by the two teenage gunmen, Cain Clark and Caleb Vazquez. The attackers killed security guard Amin Abdullah and two worshippers, Mansour Kaziha and Nadir Awad, before taking their own lives. Santiago is being tried as an adult under North Carolina law, which equates aiding and abetting penalties with those for the principal offender.
