California Braces for 12th Atmospheric River and More Storms

California is bracing for its 12th atmospheric river of the season, which is expected to bring rain, snow, and strong winds to the region. The National Weather Service predicts between one and two inches of rain, with isolated amounts of up to three inches in the mountains. Snow levels will start at 5,000 feet but will quickly fall to 3,000 feet, bringing accumulating snow to major mountain passes. Strong and possibly damaging winds are also expected. Temperatures will drop, with daytime highs in the low 60s on Monday and mid-50s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
