California Braces for Deluge: Heavy Rainfall and Flooding Threat

California is preparing for a storm that will bring heavy rain and snow to the state. The National Weather Service predicts moderate to heavy rainfall, with the potential for flooding in urban areas, roads, and burn scars. Southern California could see two to four inches of rain along the coast and inland valleys, while the foothills and mountains may receive four to eight inches. San Francisco Bay area can expect a half-inch to an inch of rain each day. Locally heavy snow is expected in the mountains above 7500 feet.
