California braces for yet another powerful late-season storm.

Another intense winter storm is expected to hit California and the West Coast, bringing heavy snow in the high terrain and heavy rain in coastal, valley, and foothill regions, which could cause flooding. Strong winds could trigger downed trees and power outages. The storm could push California's snowpack to a record high, with the amount of water stored in the state's snowpack approaching or surpassing records in two of three regions. Winter storm warnings are in effect for the Sierra Nevada and much of Northern California into parts of Oregon.
