Clouds moving into Northern California may impact viewing conditions for the partial solar eclipse on Saturday. A system moving through Friday night into Saturday will keep the clouds around, potentially hindering visibility. Sky conditions in Sacramento and points north and west may be partly cloudy during the peak viewing time around 9:20 a.m. However, there may be breaks in the cloud cover that allow for viewing. Other areas like Stockton, Modesto, Sonora, and parts of South Lake Tahoe may have a better chance of seeing the eclipse with less cloud cover. Temperatures will be mild with highs in the upper 70s on Friday and warming slightly to the lower 80s on Sunday. Warmer days are expected for the middle of next week.
