"Flash Floods Paralyze Chicago Highways, Stranding Drivers and Forcing Stevenson Expressway Closure"

Heavy rains have caused flash flooding on multiple expressways in the Chicago area, leading to road closures and traffic diversions. The Stevenson Expressway is completely closed near Pulaski Avenue, with inbound and outbound traffic being diverted. Flooding is also reported on the Edens Expressway, Kennedy Expressway, Eisenhower Expressway, Interstate 57, and Bishop Ford Expressway. Heavy rains are expected to continue, with up to three inches of rain already fallen and additional rainfall possible.
