Floods cause road closures in Billings.

Billings emergency services are receiving numerous calls related to heavy rainfall causing issues along storm drains, roads, ditches, low-lying areas, and flooded basements. Residents are asked to reserve calls to 911 for life-saving emergencies. Street crews can clear debris from storm drains, but first responders cannot assist in situations of flooded fields, basements, and homes unless someone's life is at risk. Drivers are advised to turn around and find an alternate route if they encounter a flooded area or a road with running water. More rain is expected in the coming days, so everyone is encouraged to stay vigilant and be prepared for flash flooding.
