Heatwave Alert: Southwest and Southeast Brace for Dangerous Triple-Digit Temperatures

More than 35 million Americans are under a dangerous heatwave alert as triple-digit temperatures scorch the Southwest and Southeast regions. Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, and Albuquerque are experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures reaching up to 110 degrees. Phoenix could potentially break its record of 18 consecutive days with temperatures above 110 degrees. In the Southeast, cities like Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, and Miami are also facing high temperatures, with heat indices surpassing 100 degrees. Water temperatures in Miami and Key West are reaching 90 and 92 degrees, respectively.
