Impending Storm Brings Rain, Wind, and Flooding Concerns to New England

A strong storm system is moving through New England, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and the potential for flooding. Some areas could see 3 to 4 inches of rain, and winds gusting in excess of 60 mph could cause power outages. A flood watch is in effect, with basement flooding and road closures possible. Coastal flooding is also possible in Narragansett Bay. The heaviest rain will occur tonight and the first half of Monday, with the wind settling back down by Monday night. The rest of the week will be calm and sunny.
