Impending Wet Weather: Rain and Snow Expected in Vermont and New York

A storm is expected to bring heavy rain on Sunday afternoon, transitioning to wet snow on Sunday night. The rain will turn to snow in the Adirondacks after dark on Sunday, and in Vermont after midnight. The Champlain Valley can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow, while areas outside the valley may see 4 to 8 inches. Snow will continue in and near the mountains throughout Monday, with accumulations of 8 to 12 inches. Rivers may experience minor flooding due to rain and snowmelt. Some power outages are possible, but the snow will become drier as Monday progresses. The rest of the week is expected to be calm.
