Late March Snowstorm Covers Central Iowa and Nebraska with Heavy Snowfall.

A narrow band of heavy snow traveled across western into north-central Iowa on Sunday morning, leaving considerable accumulation on the ground. Totals up to 9 inches have been reported so far, with some areas receiving between 3 to 6 inches. Travel issues are expected to diminish later in the day as temperatures rise and the snow begins to melt. Another storm system is expected to hit Iowa later in the week, bringing a multitude of hazards ranging from thunderstorms to more winter weather.
