May Snowstorm Hits Great Lakes Region

Michigan is experiencing snow on the first day of May due to a slow-moving upper-level low over the Great Lakes. Central and southern Lower Michigan will see rain mix with snow, but temperatures will stay above freezing, so accumulation is unlikely. Northern Lower Michigan and the U.P. have a better chance of snow accumulation. Temperatures are running 10 to 20 degrees colder than normal for this time of year.
