However, a strong low-pressure system is forecasted to bring precipitation to the Upper Midwest on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Twin Cities metro area, southeastern Minnesota, and west-central Wisconsin seeing mainly rain and embedded thunderstorms on Tuesday and Tuesday evening, followed by a changeover to a wintry mix late Tuesday night and then over to mainly snow on Wednesday. Much of northern Minnesota and portions of central Minnesota could see heavy snow and strong winds Tuesday and Wednesday.
