Multiple Florida Schools Closed Tuesday Due to Severe Weather

Severe weather, including destructive winds and tornadoes, is forecasted for the Panhandle on Monday and Tuesday, leading to school closures across the region. Gulf District, Jackson County, Washington County, Franklin County, Holmes County, and Liberty County schools will be closed on Tuesday, along with a delayed start for Gulf Coast State College. Bay District Schools will also be closed on Tuesday, with a recommendation to still hold the regularly-scheduled School Board meeting at 1 p.m. All extra-curricular activities for Tuesday are cancelled, and the community is advised to stay connected to local meteorologists and emergency notification systems.
