Rainfall Deluge Brings Much-Needed Relief

Widespread rain brought much-needed relief to Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with the Twin Cities area receiving 1.5 to 3 inches of rain, Rochester measuring about 1.5 inches, and Duluth getting soaked with 3 inches. However, southwestern and northwestern Minnesota experienced little to no rain. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout Sunday and beyond, with the possibility of heavier rain in northeastern Minnesota. More showers and thunderstorms are anticipated for Monday and Tuesday before temperatures warm up later in the week.
